Stamped Concrete - Santoro Tile and Masonry Is Who You Need

    Types of Decorative Concrete Patterns

Types of Decorative Concrete Patters - Santoro Tile and Masonry Can Help You Decide

Variety is a cornerstone of stamped concrete, a decorative solution that suits nearly every aesthetic because it is available in a wide range of patterns including:

    • Flagstone: The look of natural flagstone can be replicated in a budget-friendly option which comes in shades of gray to brown in multiple sizes and shapes.
    • Ashlar slate: One of the most popular stamped concrete patterns, ashlar slate closely resembles natural slate but as a more cost-effective and durable option.
    • Cedar wood plank: This design variation is so detailed the wood grain and nail holes lend themselves to the illusion of real wood planks, boardwalk, or reclaimed timber.
    • Cobblestone: If you want the look of real stone or cobblestone, this stamped concrete is the version to invest in.
    • Cut slate: Textured like genuine slate, this type of stamped concrete looks seamless and subtle, an elevated solution underfoot.

Colors variations of stamped concrete are also plentiful and can be matched to the exterior of your home, interior design, or favorite complementary shades. The beauty of this material is that it can be completely customized to your preferences.

Best Places to Install Stamped Concrete

Stamped concrete is excellent for outdoor installations, but don’t underestimate the power of transformational devices when you add this element to your home. Your aesthetics will be clear and stunning from any distance with stamped concrete flooring, stairs, or pathways. Here are some of the most common places to find this type of addition:

    • Driveway: Make a statement with a stamped concrete driveway in the pattern, color, and design that suits your preferences. Cobblestone is a popular option.
    • Walkway: Whether elevating a walkway or sidewalk, a stamped concrete path in slate or flagstone delivers a beautiful entrance with texture and curb appeal.
    • Patio: It makes sense to enhance the look of a space where you spend a lot of time, like a patio, with stamped concrete in an unexpected color or design.
    • Interior flooring: Enhance the look of interior flooring with stamped concrete in a unique pattern like cedar wood plank which gives a home a distinguished air.
    • Pool deck: Get the flagstone or brick look around the pool with stamped concrete that is smooth but not slippery and mimics usual pool decking options.

Longevity and Care of Stamped Concrete

Longevity and Care of Stamped Concrete - Santoro Tile and Masonry

With proper care, stamped concrete can last for decades, look new, and remain undamaged, but it is essential to maintain dedicated cleaning habits for your flooring. Deliberate cleaning efforts can minimize chips, stains, and scratches, and prevent the seal from disintegrating. The following habits will help:

    • Clean lightly and avoid heavy handed efforts.
    • Do not use abrasive cleaning methods or products.
    • Sweep away debris regularly to remove dirt and grit.
    • Do a gentle wash – no power washing.
    • Use only a simple dish soap and water solution.
    • Address stains and cracks immediately.
    • Get expert-applied sealant annually.
    • Be careful during snow removal to avoid damage.

Santoro and Tile Masonry of South Lyon, Michigan just completed repairing a monument in the Pinckney cemetery. The work is amazing as the monument was constructed in 1910. They were able to match the stone and stabilize the fallen walls. Great job!!!

If I could give 10 stars, I would. Mike is a true professional. He communicated eastly and quickly was always on time. He was right on schedule and got all the work completed on time or before. We have a community of 54 units and most of them needed something done. Sidewalks, driveways and patios. He did it all.HIs crew was great too. All were friendly and helpful. AND Mike walked the property with me when they were finished to make sure everything was cleaned up. It looks great. And to top it off, his prices were the best we were quoted!I can't recommend him enough.

Santoro Masonry and Tile removed a cemented slate walkway and installed new tile in the walkway and kitchen in our midcentury home. The work looks great and they were prompt and courteous. Their attention to detail in every facet of their work is impressive. In the dozen years we’ve owned our home, we’ve had multiple contractors for different projects, and they are one of the most dilligent in scheduling and completing the work that we’ve had, and at a very competitive rate. I recommend them to anyone needing similar work in the area.
